4 Party Hair Looks
This year’s party season sees the return of full-on glamour. With last year’s restrictions still in our memory, everyone wants to enjoy this year’s festivities and make the most of the party season and go all out with their looks including their party hairstyles. But are you stuck for inspiration to use on your clients? We are here to help, providing you with four inspiring looks to recreate for your clients wanting something different this year…
The S Wave
Screaming Hollywood glamour, these iconic large waves have been a regular on the red carpet over the last few months. Brilliantly showing off the volume from hair extensions,
Remi Cachet Super Stylist Alex Ferris worked these into a recent look. This fabulous look also clinched her the title “HJ Extension Specialist of the Year Classic Look”.
Working a 25mm Styling Tong on 20” Ultra Tips, Alex shared how she created this so it's ready for you to recreate for your clients...
- Section the hair into three – each side and the back, clipping out the way two sections.
- Holding the tong horizontally, wrap the hair over the top of the tong and around before holding for around 8 seconds.
- Release and pull the hair to loosen to create the degree of wave you want.
- Repeat and spray with a light hairspray for every row.
- With a wide tooth comb, comb out. Repeat with a smaller tooth comb, this creates better waves.
- Finish with a little hairspray – but not too much that it is weighted down.
The High Pony
With our wrap around ponytail available in various lengths this look is great for those clients after a sophisticated look.
Ariana Grande might be known for this style, but Gigi Hadid’s mega volume pony for the Met Gala this year is sure to result in many requests from clients this party season.
TIP: Get that perfect tight snatched look with our pintail comb and use hair oil to give the look a sleek intense glossy finish and keep those flyway strands under control.
If you want to add your own twist to this look and make it your own, why not get creative by styling your clients pony such as with a plait, or maybe a bubble ponytail?
The Farrah Fawcett Flip
The look that never seems to go out of style is back for that perfect glam night out.
Achieve this iconic 70’s look for your client by blowing-dry with a large round bristle brush away from the face.
The Accessory
The exaggerated hair bow was seen in the AW21 Channel show and we picked this up in a previous blog as a trend to watch out for. We can see this as being a huge trend this Christmas, especially complimenting glamorous looks such as the S wave. This is a perfect way to compliment your clients outfit with a pop of colour.
Padded and jewelled headbands also continue to trend, as are pearlized clips like these:
Perfect to add something different to the look.
