2021 A Year in Review
Wow, what a year! We thought we would take a moment to look back and share the most notable moments from the year with you. There’s always so much we could mention, but here are just some of our favourite hairlights…
New, New, New
We all love something new and this year we are pleased to have been able to launch several items this year.
New lengths were added to our Micro Tapes in a longer 14” as well as 12” Master Parting and our complete Luxury Hair range now has a 22” length available.
We also introduced new items to our aftercare range including the Smoothing Brush and Wave Comb, both styling essentials in the salon and for retail.
Our biggest launch had to be our Elegance Nano Tips. We teased a lot about the “twist” pre launch…the unique twisted thread is the key to the design for these Nano Tips.
Last but not least, in July, we unveiled our brand new website which is dedicated solely to professional stylists like you. Shopping directly with us, we can now offer additional benefits to our professionals including improved returns, exclusive discounts and many other great things.
In the last few months, we have also been able to launch our Click & Collect service for those local to us and in desperate need of hair! You can select this option at the check out and once you receive your “ready for collection” email, come and pick this up at our warehouse in Teesside.
Award Wins
It was back in March that we won an award at the Marie Claire Hair Awards in their “Hair Heroes” section. Being crowned “Best Ethical Hair Initiative” for our Hair Recycling Scheme has been a real highlight for us to be recognised for introducing this concept.
September saw our first ever Summer Ball to celebrate our Super Stylists and their achievements. Replacing our usual annual Super Stylist showcase with a glitzy ball and adding in recognition awards; we loved it so much that we are planning the 2022 Ball already!
The awards covered different aspects of being a Super Stylist from their social media engagement to their hair creativity. See a full list of our winners and a little glimpse at the night itself here.
Salon International was back this year and our HJ Extension Specialist of the Year competition also returned. Battling it out for the Classic and Creative titles live at the show, the finalists really shined a light on great hair extensions. With judging from leading industry experts, including competing hair extension brands.
The Trends
Our Super Stylists have inspired us all year round with their trend predictions. Face framing was highlighted within the year, which has been huge, as well as the ‘mushroom’ craze with our new 4/18 blend proving popular.

And Not Forgetting …
As a business we have supported local charity My Sisters Place as a corporate sponsor to help them continue their important work with those that experience domestic violence. We also donated to Cash 4 Kids and Freedom Charity. You’ve been so generous too in helping us raise £1,000 in October for Breast Cancer Awareness with your purchases of our pink products.
You know us well, there’s always something new in the pipeline but you’ll just have to wait and see…
