Hair Colours We Expect To Trend In Winter 2022/2023

With winter coming soon, we have done our seasonal research and highlighted the top four colours we think will be trending this upcoming season. From what seems to be a 2022 favourite to some new ones in the mix, you can be prepared for your client’s consultations ready to give them the latest trends expected to make an impact this winter…

Icy White

Starting with a new shade to be in our seasonal trend prediction series, leading hair stylist and wedding hair specialist with over 26 years of industry experience, Teresa Weller explains to Salon Business that “Icy White shades have taken over from grey shades expected this winter”.

Could this be following Gigi Hadid's runway look at the Ralph Lauren A/W22 show where she showcased long, platinum-blonde hair?… So gorgeous.

If your clients are fancying switching it up to this luxurious colour for the upcoming season, colour 55 is certainly one of your answers. As our lightest ash blonde, this is the perfect shade to achieve this expected trend, just like the look @amybameextensions created for her client...

Tweed Blonde

One that also made our Autumn list and shows no sign of stopping for winter is the stunning "Tweed Blonde" trend.

Suzie McGill, artistic direction of Scotlands award-winning hair colour experts, Rainbow Room International describes to Hairdressers Journal...“Tweed blonde replaces the golden blonde hues that we have previously seen become popular over the autumn and winter months. This blonde sees multiple shades being placed within the hair to give it a multidimensional, natural feel, as well as high shine. Tones include both warm, golden blonde tones and cooler, ashier tones to create the perfect neutral, blonde blend.”

What better way to show off the “Tweed Blonde” look you can achieve with us than these gorgeous examples from @hermanas_hair and @twiggyshair...

@hermanas_hair creates this stunning look with a mix of 9/613 and 9/55.

Petrol Hues

For those clients who are looking for something different this upcoming season, “Petrol Hues” could certainly be their solution. Suzie McGill again discusses another of her predictions, this time to Professional Hairdresser all about "Petrol Hues"... “dark amethyst purples, navy blues and forest greens will be popular colour choices for the new season.”

Copper

A colour that is certainly in the running for THE colour of 2022, award-winning freelance hairstylist and colourist, Abbey Jarold talks to Creative Head about the continued impact the colour is expected to make… “It’s easy to wear and there’s a shade to suit most skin tones.”

Whether you want to stick to one colour or you want to create a highlight/balayage effect for something warmer this upcoming season, the looks you can create to make the shade your clients own are truly endless with our variety of colours.
