Autumn Hair Trends

It’s nearly that time when we wrap up in cosy jumpers, swap to pumpkin spice lattes and enjoy everything that autumn has to offer. Traditionally, September is also seen as the start of something new for many and so what better time to go for a new do. So we asked our Super Stylists to share just what their clients are asking for in terms of colour, cut and style for the season ahead to give you all the inspiration you need to book your next hair appointment.

THE EXTENSIONS

Derby based Lou Baldwin’s inbox has all been about wefts.

"The braidless weaves are taking over other methods right now. The appeal being the quick application, easy to maintain, over all mega volume and most of all extremely reusable, which all round is better for the environment - it’s a winner!"

THE COLOUR

Even at the beginning of September, Super Stylist Kathleen MacFarlane at The Extension Room shared that "I'm on my third ‘orange’ fitting of the month today."

Fellow Super Stylist, Jo Fox couldn’t agree more with more beautiful coppers. Working with our colour 30 before a little custom colouring of a 16” weft.

Gigi Hadid went red back in March, with a bright ‘orange rust’ shade, but recently showed a darker look at the Met Ball with a mega volume ponytail.

Always wanted to try red but daren’t? Maybe Ashley Benson’s look will convince you.

Lou Baldwin’s clients are all about bronde. Think Jlo.

"It’s the perfect in-between shade for clients that don’t dare to go right over to the dark side. I’m so excited for the warm chestnut colours and warmer tones as for the last 2 years it’s all been about cooler tones."

THE CUT

With some 70’s inspiration, Alex Ferris of Alex F Hair Extensions shares her "flicky flicky, layering and feathering cut." See how the hair lies;

 "Most of my clients are being really daring and going shorter for mid-length styles," Lou Baldwin.

All the Super Stylists agreed on one final trend, Layers. “Lots of them and curtain bangs. All of my clients are asking for them recently!” Asya Cannur of Hair by Asya

 Layering is a great way to add volume and texture to your hair.

We hope these have inspired you to try a new look and embrace the new season. For more inspiration, head our Pinterest Board and head to your nearest #RCStylist for a hair consultation.
