The extra TLC your hair needs this season

As we move from summer to autumn, the changes in weather can really play havoc on our hair. It’s just as important to keep our locks as hydrated in winter as it is in summer as we move from the cold and wet conditions outside to central heating inside. This rapid change in temperature can cause breakage to your hair so be sure to make those nights in washing your hair and giving it some TLC, a priority. Let us guide you through our additional top tips to get your hair looking its best this season...

ADD HYDRATION

Regularly treat your hair to a deep conditioning treatment by applying this on the lengths and ends.

Use a little of the Remi Cachet Hair Oil daily on the ends of the hair to add essential moisture as well as help fight frizz. It’s that season for static hair as you swap between different humidity's going in and outside and this oil will....

THOROUGHLY DRY

We all know the old saying not to go out with wet hair, aso it’s important to ensure your hair is always thoroughly dry before going out. Also, don’t forget our don’t forget our Shower Cap, if you don’t want wet hair in the first place.

Drying the hair completely helps keep the hair healthy and strong, preventing breakage and split ends from the cold on any wet strands. Drying completely, has also been shown to retain your colour for longer.

Additionally, turn down the temperature on your heated tools, or, even better, have a day off from the straighteners.

OUT AND ABOUT

Tie long tresses up to avoid the cold with plaits and ponytails. Hats are a great way to help hair stay contained, and #RCGirlie What Laura Loves always takes great care of her long locks.

Tying hair back also helps prevent the hair becoming tangled. When brushing through to remove knots, make sure you have the right type of brush to prevent tugging. We also offer smaller brushes which are great for keeping in your handbag making them the perfect travel accessory.

Don’t forget to keep up with your basic aftercare for healthy hair and to make the hair extensions last longer.
