Hair Colours We Expect To Trend In Summer 2023

With summer officially now less than a week away, we have done our seasonal research and highlighted the top four colours we think will be trending in the season. With these predicted trends, you can be prepared for your client’s consultations with what is expected to make an impact…

Caramel Blonde

Following on from our 2023 spring trends blog post, we think the stunning Caramel Blonde shade will continue to make an impact as the days continue to get lighter and brighter (we hope).

Earlier this year, Salon Business noted this as a shade to really make an impact in Spring/Summer 2023. The way our feed and tagged photos are looking, it truly has been one that has stood out this spring so why wouldn’t it continue through summer?

Check out some of our favourite looks from our stylists creating this stunning shade:

Soft Brown

Described by Hairdressers Journal as a “gorgeous natural light-to-mid brown shade that celebrates natural brunette/brown tones” this is on the magazine’s list of “summer 2023’s hottest hair trends".

We think this shade is just perfect for your brunette clients who want to add a little something this upcoming season with extensions; whether this is for volume, length, a mix of other brunette tones or all of the above.

We have also started to see this colour appear more across our feed, and adore this look created by @unbeweaveablehairsalon using colour 5 our gorgeous dark ash brown…

Plus, we can’t miss showing off this amazing transformation by @hairextensionsbyheather who used colour 4 and colour 5 for the beautiful look...

Balayage

Online style magazine "The Zoe Report" explains that “there’s no denying that summer is the season for highlights. But this year, balayage looks are breaking free from the bleach blonde and ash streaks that previously reigned supreme. With a more natural approach, balayage is signified by tones of soft sable and honey blonde that transition seamlessly from brunette roots”… and we couldn’t agree more.

Expect to have lots of requests this summer for what we believe is “the season of balayage”.

But how?

Well, you’re in very good hands with these gorgeous examples from @goldielockshairextensions and @luxlocksbournemouth.

@goldielockshairextensions uses our colour 4/18 and @luxelocksbournemouth uses our colour T1B-4/18.

Natural Copper

Are you surprised? Red tones have been a feature on our trend blogs for approximately a year now and “natural copper” really shows no sign of slowing down.

Hair colourist Kelly Noonan explains to online magazine Pure Wow “It’s bold and eye-catching. It also has a dimensional and vibrant look for people who are ready to make a statement this summer”. So, if your clients are wanting a new look for their hot girl summer, cool girl summer or whatever the latest trend of the season is, copper could be the perfect match for them.
