All You Need To Know About Pricing At Remi Cachet
It sometimes can be a sensitive subject but it really doesn’t have to be. At Remi Cachet we have a variety of pricing strategies to adapt to your client’s budgets. Here is everything you need to know about pricing at Remi Cachet…
Across our hair extensions, prices can differ depending on a number of factors including the product, the length and the colour. But a significant influence on price is the range of hair the product comes from. In total, we have three ranges of hair; Elegance, Deluxe and Luxury and all of which have a different price range in line with the estimated longevity. To make this easier for you to understand here is a breakdown of the ranges:
Pricing Brackets
1. The Highest Price Point - Elegance
Known as “the best of Remi Cachet” this premium range is well known for being high quality, double-drawn, premium Remy hair.
If your clients want to invest in hair that will last a long time, Elegance should be the choice you advise, if compatible with their natural hair. In line with using the correct and recommended aftercare, the hair should last up to twelve months.
In total, fifteen hair extension products are available in the Elegance range, eight lengths and fifty-five colours.
2. The Medium Price Point - Deluxe
Known as “the next best thing” to our Elegance range, the Deluxe range’s purpose is close to the quality of Elegance hair but with a more affordable price range for your clients. In line with using the correct and recommended aftercare, the hair should last your clients approximately nine months.
As this range is the newest to the brand, currently there are three hair extension products available in Deluxe, two lengths and twenty-six colours.
3.The Lower Price Point - Luxury
Designed to be great hair, with a good life span, without the premium price of our Elegance range, Luxury should last around six months when your clients are using the correct and recommended aftercare.
In total, six hair extension products are available in the Luxury range, three lengths and twenty-two colours.
Product Differentiation Example
To illustrate the different ranges which in turn influence price more clearly, let’s look at Tape Hair Extensions.
The table below illustrates each of the ranges, the products available and the details of these:
Product |
Hair Information |
Product Information |
Lengths Available |
Colours Available |
Injection Tape Hair |
Double-drawn 100% human premium Remy hair. When using the correct and recommended aftercare, the hair should last your clients up to 12 months. |
Because of the Injected tape top process, the extensions blend to your client’s root and your hair so the product is especially beneficial if they have finer hair. |
14", 18", 22" |
Over 50 |
Micro Tape Hair |
Double-drawn 100% human premium Remy hair. When using the correct and recommended aftercare, the hair should last your clients up to 12 months. |
Unlike Injection Tape Hair, this extension type does not have an injected tape top process. However, they are a perfect hair extension solution if you have shorter hair as the lengths available are 10” and 14”. Also, each piece of Micro Tape is 2cm wide which allows for placement where traditional tape may be more visible in your shorter hair. |
10", 14" |
Over 50 |
Smart Tape |
Double-drawn, mid-ratio 100% human Remy hair. When using the correct and recommended aftercare, the hair should last your clients approximately 9 months. |
This extension type does not have an injected tape top like Injection Tape Hair. But, as the PU at the top of the extension is half of the size of the PU on Luxury Tape hair, Smart Tape hair extensions are perfect if you are looking for a more discreet option, compared to Luxury Tape Hair. |
18", 22" |
26 |
Luxury Tape Hair |
Natural ratio 100% human Remy hair. When using the correct and recommended aftercare, the hair should last your clients approximately 6 months. |
This extension type does not have an injected tape top like Injection Tape Hair. But, are a great budget-friendly option for your clients that’s designed to be great hair with a good life span, without the premium price of the Elegance range. |
18", 22" |
21 |
As the table illustrates, the Elegance range provides your clients with more product options, USPs of products, as well as lengths and colours. But, it also provides them with hair that has a longer lifespan in line with them following the right aftercare advice, hence, the pricing is higher.
Top 5 Tips For Pricing At Remi Cachet
1. Understand The Brand
When talking to your clients about the brand in general, specifically when discussing pricing with them, you must understand the brand and be aware of the different pricing strategies to then explain these to the client.
2. Be Prepared To Discuss Alternative Ideas
In your consultations, be prepared for your clients to have a specific budget in mind. If what you advise them is not in line with this budget, be prepared to discuss alternative options that are available for them in line with the budget.
For example, if they have expressed an interest in having Nano Tips applied but Elegance, doesn't suit their budget, why not discuss the option of a shorter length? Or, why not discuss another range of Nano Tips? Although Deluxe and Luxury have shorter longevity, you may find the perfect option for them that suits their budget and makes them leave your chair happy.
It’s always important to be open to these discussions to find the best option for your clients, working with their budget as opposed to only offering a specific hair range/ product/length etc.
3. Be Transparent
If you don’t understand your pricing strategy, your clients won’t. Therefore, make this extremely easy for everyone to understand. Break it down clearly and concisely to make your prices as transparent on your social media as they are in your consultations. This way, your clients have a greater understanding of this and will be able to see what options are available to them, in line with their budget, making for more productive conversations throughout all of your communications.
4. Elevate Your Client's Experience
As you will understand, when clients come to the salon, it’s all about the hair, yes, but experience is also important. In summary, if your clients are paying premium prices (no matter the range of hair) you have to offer a premium experience.
Everything from the look of your space to the communication with your clients, it all matters.
5. Be Comfortable
Overall, it is important that when talking to your clients about pricing, to be comfortable doing it.
Being more comfortable talking about this will allow you to have meaningful conversations to ensure the best outcome for your clients.
Should you evaluate the keywords you use in your conversations? If you find yourself referring to “pricing” and “cost” when having these conversations, switch it up to “investment”. That simple switch to discussing the hair as an “investment” emphasises how their hair is exactly that and they are investing in their hair, look, confidence etc which is worth every penny to them.
